Part 5: Let's draw a face by combining techniques - Chapter 1

For the face, let's change the method to suit the situation.

Let's draw the image of the process of arriving at the completed picture in your head. You don't always have to draw a bad skeleton. I just want you to draw with consciousness.

Take a pencil and draw a face. The face is just facing sideways, but the vertical pillar of the 3D box cross will be secure. Choose a method that makes it easy for you to draw your cheeks in combination with the method described earlier. Everything is flexible. Don't be an eggplant ruler.

Draw a semicircle to determine the centerline of the face and secure the jaw position.

Draw each part to complete the mannequin face.

Since the drawing method differs depending on the individual, let's finish by selecting the method you like in drawing methods A and B. It ’s a great idea to combine both.

The mannequin face in the “head” corner is the basis for any face you draw. It would be very convenient if you could make sure that you could draw your face in step 1.2. If the base is solid, the drawing will not go crazy.

A three-dimensional box cross is very effective for an angled face. Always draw your face with the left figure in mind.

Draw a front face.

Let's draw with attention to the fact that the front face is drawn symmetrically.

The front face is better drawn with a simple figure. Referring to the first page of the “Head” corner, apply a cross to draw the cheeks and details.

Roughly draw a semicircle of the head and draw a basic line vertically and horizontally to make a face.

Add auxiliary lines vertically and horizontally to make the head, cheek, and chin lines symmetrical. You have a square on the forehead. If you use that square, you can draw the head line very beautifully. It does n’t have to be a square. Let's use anything that can reduce the madness of the drawing.

Because you don't have to draw, always be aware of the cross on paper.

If you can draw symmetrically beautifully, let's be aware of the solid cross on the paper.

Once you have an image, try drawing your cheekbones to make the face contours firm. Carefully draw your eyes and nose.

It is very difficult to draw the eyes and nose from the front. When you do so, try to draw a straight line and take a rough line before you finish it. Then the left and right drawings will be less blurred.

Effectively add shadows that make the face appear three-dimensional.

The front face is greatly affected by how well it is drawn at the first contour line. So it is necessary to write auxiliary lines and basic lines as much as possible to reduce drawing errors. There's nothing embarrassing, just erase the auxiliary lines later with an eraser and leave only the important lines clean. If it feels a bit weird, check again.

Complete.

For beginners,

Make a habit of using the curve last when drawing small parts such as eyes. For example, when you look at it, it is very difficult to draw it as it is and the curves are intricately intersected. So let's make it a habit to draw the curve of the eye with a straight line. Draw a straight line first and take a hit. Start with a curve and use a curve. After drawing the skeleton, you can draw more accurately.
