Connection of head, neck and shoulder

Share:
The neck and shoulder area is one of the most difficult parts until I can draw it.

There is a tendency that even if you draw it, it will not feel unnatural for some reason.

In such cases, the three-dimensional effect is usually lost and the shoulder is lost.

However, you can prevent this by making a little care when drawing.

In the case of a beginner's correction example, it is often seen that the three-dimensional feeling around the neck and shoulders is lost and the body is thin.

The point of drawing is to capture the shape of the head, neck, and shoulder as if they were made of three parts, and combine them.

First, the neck looks like a round pipe joined diagonally to the body. This will help you understand the correct positional relationship with the collarbone. In fact, if the collarbone itself is not in the correct position, it can cause the body thickness to be visible.

The shoulder looks like a block cut out in a triangle, but this is just a measure of the three-dimensional appearance of the shoulder. The shoulders are three-dimensionally undulating due to the assembly of multiple muscles, making it difficult to grasp the shape.

When you copy a copyrighted picture, you can easily take this kind of trick and start drawing. It should feel a lot easier to draw.
